Totoro

There's been some fabulous cut-out illustration on tumblr lately so I did a digital "cut out" piece of Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro".

Silhouettes of Satsuki and Mei were referenced from still frames from the movie and posters.
Totoros, Catbus, and plants are referenced from various merchandise (including super cute Totoro plates that I want)

Rainbow Pattern

Sorry for the lack of updates over the weekend! It was the first day of my "real" job for the summer, which consists of working at a local beach.

So here's another pattern! Some umbrellas, rain, and a rainbow.

Bird cage pattern

Still working on tiled patterns. This time it's birdcages. All these cages were referenced from ones on google and mostly simplified.

Another pattern! This time some snazzy glasses. I really want to keep at patterns until I can make them in a flash, because I'm still having trouble getting the seams to line up correctly without having to redo it a thousand times.

I've always wanted to try and do a tiled piece so I went ahead and did some monsters. This Website was a big help in figuring out how to do tiled patterns, however it took me awhile to get it just right and seamless. The colors are definitely 90's inspired.
